SMI

The Swiss Market Index (SMI) is the most followed stock market index in Switzerland. It is made up of the 20 largest Swiss companies, such as Nestle, Roche or Novartis.

Anecdote

The composition of the index is reviewed frequently. Some companies may join the index while others exit it. For example, in September 2021, the tech company Logitech replace Swatch in the index.
